Announcement from 5/6/2011
1. The Primary Talent Show is this Saturday, May 7th at 6pm. Any questions, contact Kendra Wirig at kendra_nieman@hotmail.com.
2. Sisters Temple Session on Wednesday, May 11th at 6:45pm. First there will be a chapel meeting where one of the matrons will speak to the sisters for about 45 minutes, followed by an endowment session at 7:30. The 7:30 session will be our Ward Temple Night.
3. Our next RS Activity is on Wednesday, May 25th – A Story to Tell – This will be a fabulous opportunity to get to know the sisters talents in our ward, and hear their stories about their talents. Please start thinking about your talent / passion / collection that you would like to share. Sign up sheets to share talents and bring salads are in the binders that go around RS. If you are in YW, primary or nursery, PLEASE call Louise Greaves to let her know what you want to share.
4. Come help assemble hygiene kits and quilts with the Humanitarian committee at 7pm at the Overlook chapel on Tuesday in the RS room.
5. In June we have a great opportunity to be taught by one of our stake RS Presidency, Mary Eggertson. She is coming to help us be more prepared to serve our sisters and families by assembling "meals-in-a-bag" ahead of time. We'll be learning other ways to be more self-reliant with meals as well. Put Thursday evening, May 16, on your calendar.
5. To save time during our Relief Society meetings on Sundays please let one of the Presidency know ahead of time if you need to make an announcement, and the person conducting will make all the announcements.

Richard Bushman Fireside
Friday, May 6th, at 7:30pm in the InterStake Center Auditorium Richard Bushman will be giving a fireside on Joseph & Emma.
"Come hear the exciting times and controversial romance of the first couple of Mormondom! Thrill at
tales! Delicate in the telling!"
Richard Bushman retired as Gouverneur Morris Professor of History at Columbia University in 2001. He came out of retirement in 2008 to accept a position as visiting Howard W. Hunter Chair of Mormon Studies at Claremont Graduate University. He is the author of "Joseph Smith: Rough Stone Rolling" and co-general editor of "The Joseph Smith Papers."
Also, please park in the upper or lower parking lots behind the ISC, thus keeping the main parking lot available for temple patrons.
