4th week Announceme​

1. Please be aware that there will be no meetings at Overlook next Sunday. It is our week for Stake Conference beginning this Thursday night with a Temple Session beginning in the Chapel at 6:30pm, and an Endowment Session at 7pm. The adult session will be held at 7pm Saturday night at the Inter Stake Center, and the family session will be Sunday from 10-12.


2. The Evening of Feb 26th the Young Women New Beginnings program will be held, and they would love our support.

3. Our next Ward Temple night will be Friday march 16th at 6:30pm – we will do an endowment session. There will be a potluck get together afterwards at a yet to be disclosed location.

4. Plan on attending the Primary Talent Show on March 17th 6-8pm. Sign your children up to perform and sign up to bring food.

5. There is a time change for Zumba on Saturday mornings... Now at 7:30- 8:30am.

6. Susan Comber will be starting practices for the Choir to sing at our Easter Sacrament meeting. If you enjoy singing, please let Susan know.

7. Please keep in mind our project to share the Book of Mormon by writing our testimony in it and giving it to someone that we feel guided to. Our goal is to give away 50 during 2012.

3rd week Announceme​

Saturday, Feb 18th we have an appointment to use the church cannery at 9 am. (FYI the cannery is next to the Concord Costco parking lot) This is a great opportunity to build up your food storage by canning flour, sugar, rice, beans etc. for yourself at an affordable price. Order forms need to be turned in no later than Wednesday, 2/15. Please call Kristine Olson if you have any questions.


We have a great opportunity to be taught and inspired by our Stake leaders as we meet for Stake Conference in 2 weeks. Our Conference begins with a Temple session Thursday Feb 23rd – 6:30 Chapel Session, then 7:00 endowment session. Saturday Adult session is 7pm Feb 25, then the family session Sunday Feb 26 at 10am – 12pm.

2nd week Announcement

1. The anxiously awaited Stake RS conference is THIS Saturday,
February 11th from 10-1:30 at the Moraga Chapel. There will be an inspirational keynote speaker and an assortment of exciting workshops to choose from. A light luncheon will be served. You are all encouraged to attend and bring your friends. If you would like to carpool meet at 9:30 am at the front steps of our building.

3 Oakland Stake Conference will be on Feb. 25 and 26.

4. There are extra study guides left from the "Bond with the Book of Mormon" evening, so pick one up at RS if you didn't get one. These guides have a lot of useful information in them about varied ways to study the scriptures.

Picnic lunch / kids play at Larkey Park on Tuesday at 11:30
Music time for kids at Tiffany Court 10:30 Fridays – followed by
Walden Park for picnic lunch / kids play.


           

1st week announcement

1. Many thanks to all those who made our "Bonding with the Book or Mormon" night possible. The inspired presenters did an outstanding job and gave us all great ideas for new ways to approach our precious book. Thank you to our wonderful activities committee that works so hard to provide us with enriching experiences together.

2. The Stake RS activity is February 11th from 10-1:30 at the Moraga Chapel. There will be wonderful, inspirational speakers and an assortment of exciting workshops to choose from. A light luncheon will be served. All women are encouraged to attend and bring your friends.

3. Feb 18th we have an appointment at the cannery at 9am. Look for order forms and turn in ASAP. Please plan on attending if you are purchasing or sending a representative that will do the canning for you.

4. You may have noticed that sweet Millie Gubler has not been among us for several weeks. She fell and cracked her spine and has been recovering at home. Her son (who lives with her) and daughters have been taking great care of her, and Millie doesn't feel like she needs help, but she is getting bored and lonely. She would love visits! If you take goodies, remember that Millie is diabetic, so no sugar.
