3. Guess who is coming to dinner is Aug 26th & 27th. If you have not been invited yet, please contact John Hilton
4. The Oakland California Temple will open Labor Day, Monday Sept. 5th. Endowment sessions will be held every half hour from 6:30AM to 2:00PM. Baptisms and confirmations will continue throughout the day, and no appointments will be needed. We encourage youth and families to attend the Temple on this special day. We believe it will be a wonderful experience for families to attend together.
5. The General Relief Society Broadcast from Salt Lake City will be shown in the Interstake Center on Saturday, Sept 24 at 7:00pm. The Relief Society has decided to follow the broadcast with dessert and socializing in the small ward cultural hall.
6. Ward Fine Arts Night is Saturday, Sept 10th.
7. Stake Conference in Sept 17 &18
8. We have a new Bishopric in our Ward – Matt Lyon, Beau Oyler and Sean Parmenter
9. Carrie Yancey has baby clothes for girls up to 9 months old to give away.
10. Although there is not a calendar for the sister Missionaries for meals, we do encourage you to invite them for Lunch or Dinner before 6pm.

RS announcements from August 7th
1. The Temple has opened again.
2. Our Ward Temple night is this Friday 12th at 6:30. The Bishop asked us in our 5th Sunday meeting last week to get involved in Family History in some way prior to Ward Temple night. Study family search and find an ancestor that needs a Temple ordinance done. Call the Gatzemeiers or Cheryl McGregor for help.
3. ”Meal in a bag RS Activity” is on August 11th at 6:30pm. Mary Eggertson, who is in our Stake RS Presidency will be teaching a lesson on being more prepared to serve our sisters and families by assembling “meals-in-a-bag” ahead of time. We will also learn other ways to be more self-reliant with meals. This is a great evening, the ‘meals in a bag’ are presented as gift bags with all the ingredients to make a meal.

5. Next Saturday 2 children in the Ward will be baptized, Jordan Lyon and Tayah Evans. Bring your family to support them at 1pm.
6. Our Sister Missionaries would like to know who is available to join them for visits. There is sign-ups for you to fill in times you may be available, in 3 hour blocks. This will save them a lot of time making phone calls.
